Universal bonding agents have the ability to take adhesive dentistry to new levels of efficiency because of their broad indications and technique tolerances. New research is now showing that some even have tolerance to different dentin moisture levels.
Universal bonding agents have evolved into a preferred material because of their simplified technique of simultaneous ability to etch, prime and adhere to both enamel and dentin. However, their application technique still requires precise management of moisture control of dentin, as well as additional steps to optimize their performance.
The goal of any adhesive technology is to simplify the technique and obtain predictable outcomes regardless of clinical variables. At last, there are new universal adhesives that truly satisfy these requirements. Therefore, we are finally in a new era, which eliminates the long-term variability of adhesive technique, and obtain uncompromised results in any clinical situation: wet, dry or moist!
During this CE webinar the various generations of bonding agents will be reviewed and new research indicating their technique tolerance on wet and dry dentin will be discussed.
At the end of the CE webinar, the participant will: • List advantages and disadvantages of various adhesive delivery systems, • Learn a forgiving technique for adhesive bonding based on the latest research, • Understand the value of a universal adhesive bonding technique.
